The Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan is conducting a series of seminars for auditors on the topic of the ‘International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants’

In order to support the economic reforms successfully implemented in our country, increase transparency and ensure a high level of accountability, apply best practices in preventing tax evasion, and provide methodological support to entrepreneurs, businesspeople, enterprises and organizations in this area, the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan held the first seminar for auditors on February 28, 2020, on the topic of the “INTERNATIONAL CODE OF ETHICS FOR PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANTS”, focusing on the application of the fundamental principles of professional ethics and standards of conduct for auditors.
    

The seminar was opened with welcoming remarks by Namiq Abbasli, Chairman of the Committee on International Standards on Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards and Director of “ANR Audit” LLC, who welcomed the seminar participants, spoke about the importance of the seminar and shared his recommendations. Nəcəf Talıbov, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Methodological Support for Auditing Activities and Director of “TNM Audit” LLC, then delivered a detailed presentation on the topics “Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants and Amendments to the Content of the 2016 Edition of the Code” and “International Independence Standards”, sharing his views with the participants. At the end of the seminar, the participants’ questions were answered and an extensive discussion was held.
