Vahid Novruzov, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Economics and Professor, delivered a video congratulatory message on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Association of Professional Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Moldova (ACAP RM).

 

A jubilee event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Association of Professional Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Moldova (ACAP RM) was held.

On 20 August 2026, a jubilee event was held in the “Red Hall” of the “Summit Events” Conference Centre in Chisinau, bringing together representatives of professional organisations operating in the fields of accounting and auditing, government institutions, academia and other relevant organisations. The event was significant in terms of discussing ACAP RM’s 30-year history, its contribution to the development of the profession and its future prospects.

The official opening ceremony featured an address by Elena Panainte, Chair of the ACAP RM Council. This was followed by the screening of a video entitled “30 Years of ACAP RM’s Professional Excellence”, dedicated to ACAP RM’s 30 years of professional activity.

During the jubilee event, representatives of state institutions, professional and academic circles of the Republic of Moldova delivered congratulatory remarks on the occasion of ACAP RM’s 30th anniversary. The event was attended by Victoria Belous, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Moldova; Loreta Ababii, Executive Director of the Public Oversight Council for Auditing; Olga Golban, Director of the State Tax Service; Oleg Cara, Director General of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova; Larisa Șavga, Rector and Professor of the Moldova Cooperative Trade University; Otilia Dandara, Rector of Moldova State University; as well as Grigoriu, former member of the Council of the Romanian Chamber of Financial Auditors.

Vahid Novruzov, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Economics and Professor, also addressed the participants with a congratulatory message in video format on the occasion of ACAP RM’s 30th anniversary. The message conveyed best wishes on the occasion of the anniversary of ACAP RM.

During the event, a presentation featuring photographs reflecting the long-standing friendship, mutual respect and effective cooperation between the Association of Professional Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Moldova and the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan was shown. The presentation included memorable images from meetings, mutual visits, joint events and other engagements held over the years within the framework of professional cooperation between the two organisations.

The jubilee programme included a panel discussion entitled “Development and Prospects of the Accounting and Auditing Profession”. The panel featured an exchange of views on accounting and audit policy, reforms in financial and sustainability reporting, public oversight of auditing, professional development, as well as the prevention of and fight against money laundering. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova, the World Bank’s Financial and Sustainability Reporting Reform Centre, the Public Oversight Council for Auditing and relevant institutions participated in the discussions.

Another panel discussion was dedicated to the topic “Challenges and Opportunities of Using Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Auditing”. The discussion addressed the application of artificial intelligence technologies in accounting and auditing processes, the impact of technological innovations on the development of the profession, as well as new opportunities and challenges emerging in this field. Representatives of various audit and accounting firms participated in the panel.

The event also included a recognition and awards ceremony, as well as a CAP/CIPA certificate presentation ceremony. These ceremonies highlighted achievements in professional activities and specialisation.

As part of the jubilee programme, meetings were held to provide participants with opportunities for an exchange of views and the establishment of professional contacts. The event programme also included registration and a welcome coffee, a coffee break, as well as a jubilee reception and professional networking activities.

The event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of ACAP RM served as an important platform for assessing the development path of the accounting and auditing professions, discussing contemporary challenges and considering future directions for the development of the profession.

In addition to marking ACAP RM’s 30 years of professional activity, the jubilee event once again demonstrated the importance of the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova in the fields of accounting and auditing.
